We will be having fried green tomatoes for Thanksgiving at Birdhill, as usual, and fresh cucumbers, fall garden is great. We would be having fresh english peas but some little hens found a way under the netting so we are still having them only in deviled eggs.

Cool. Next spring we shall be attempting a garden once again. A small one tho. I like planting and growing my own veggies but don't eat them as much as I should. _________________ Proud Momma to 3 adult children (22, 20 and 19) 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 parakeets, 5 ducks, 24 chickens and 1 hubby. |

I had to cut back on the hen house droppings this fall, it is so rich, in the spring my tomatoes were over 7' tall and loaded. Not a green freak or anything but my garden is all organic, who need the fake stuff when nature's best is available.
