My nieghbor.I once complained because my nieghborhood was turning into a barrio (mexican ghetto) but I got blessed with Marta. She lives across the street from me. We helped her cut her grass before they moved in and she paid us in seeds, pumpkin, sunflower, fresh cimnamon. Well we started back cutting her grass because the brush hog they used made a mess of their grass. The first time we did it she paid us 20.00 and we only took it because my husband needed gas. Now mind you our lots are 1.55 acres. Yesterday she sent her little boy over with some fresh roasted seeds, not sure what seeds but they were good, and 20.00 more dollars. My husband said no and sent it back. This lady makes us homemade mexican food and candy. I love it! Today she went to the mexican bakery and bought us some mexican bread! I told her son to tell her she was making me very spoiled! I am blessed with her. The young couple behind us have been a little problem (ie really loud bass with their music.) but I am blessed in them too.

You are very lucky to have nice neighbors. Ours are horrible. All of them! One lady that lives next to us is a scammer. She stole $90,000 from her former boss. She has to pay it back but she didn't have to serve a day in jail!!! Now her daughter has cancer and she went through a transplant. She is doing much better and they have even gone back to work. But she is still collecting charity. They have been given cash, furniture, a car, a minivan, food, clothes, you name it they got it for free!! She really upsets me. Her kids don't go to school. THey aren't allowed outside either. They look so pale! They are hispanic and I am darker than them!!

See?? It is people like them that give hispanics a bad name. Half my family is American of Mexican descent. Grandma Miranda came from Guadaljara. She never spoke english but when we were living by her (right next door) I understood everything she said but when we moved away, I lost it.

This family has a white mother and a hispanic dad. They are beyond strange. My kids are outside right now scraping out the insides of their pumpkins and the neighbor kids are in the window trying to see what they are doing over an acre away!!! You know those kids want to go outside but their folks won't let them.

Has anyone called CPS on them. They should be in school. Maybe they are illegal and afraid someone will find out. But that sounds like child neglect or abuse to me.

I've called the school district out here and CPS and the state and they all say that in Texas when you take your kids out to homeschool you don't have to do anything. You don't have to have them tested. You don't have to show proof that they are learning. It is so sad. CPS told me as long as they have a roof over their heads, clothes to wear, and food to eat they can't get them for neglect. Isn't that sad? Their 7 yr old has never been to school. He can't read or write!
