Does anyone have any good ideas on keeping our chickies warm and cozy this winter?

Hi Judymae: It's been getting down to about 28 here early mornings. I had one ultra violet light in the coop and I added another so now there is one at each end and if one goes out there will still be at least one. My coop measures apx 10 by 6. It keeps it pretty cozy. I close all the trap doors except one for them. They seem to be doing okay.

I have an electric heater. If it tips over it shuts down. _________________ Proud Momma to 3 adult children (22, 20 and 19) 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 parakeets, 5 ducks, 24 chickens and 1 hubby. |
